The approach

At the end of 2021, Invest Bank (iBank) launched its new website. Our task was to conduct a technical and semantic audit of the site and help with its rapid indexing by Google search engine and improve the main performance indicators.

The main goals and the task

  • To check the accessibility of content and the crawling efficiency of Google’s artificial intelligence
  • How the bank ranks for key keywords and phrases and where priority should be given to work.
  • Optimization of all visual and graphic resources
  • Content analysis and optimization to generate leads from priority product pages

Our solution

This process began with an analysis of the performance in two main aspects – technical and SEO of the content. Using various platforms for analyzing the performance of the page, we focused on checking the accessibility of the content and the effectiveness of crawling by Google’s artificial intelligence (crawl efficiency). The main focuses in this part of the analysis were the possibility and quality of indexing of the pages, the architecture of the site and the presence and toxicity of internal and external links, page speed, the presence of duplicate content, redirect errors, etc.

After preparing the report and identifying the main problems, we formed a team from the agency, the website provider, and the client, who set about fixing them.

Based on the semantic analysis of key keywords/phrases, we developed a competitive analysis of the page and mapped them. We examined the content of the top key pages of the site and gave recommendations for moving and redirecting existing content and changing page titles, and we fixed meta tags and descriptions, optimized images, etc. visual elements, as well as internal anchor links.

A detailed report on the work completed was prepared on a monthly basis. At the end of the period, an interim SEO audit was conducted to see the results of the work and to add newly identified problems.

The results were not long in coming, and after several months of work, we were able to improve loading speeds, remove a large portion of duplicate content, report to Google and subsequently remove toxic external links to the site, improve meta descriptions, and many other specific tasks.

The effectiveness of social networks is not measured only by creating a consistent brand digital presence. They are an essential part of the marketing strategy to achieve the company’s goals. We conducted this audit to provide an independent professional assessment of the presence and engagement of users with the iBank brand and to help define goals for the following periods.

In the audit recommendations, we did not limit ourselves to those related to content and user engagement. We took a holistic approach to the topic and also included recommendations related to data reporting, system setup, and some technical requirements for them.
